The news from Beiurt today indicates that Shaker Youssef Al-Absi, the fugitive leader of the Fatah al-Islam militants was killed as he was trying to flee the Nahr el Bared Palestinian refugee camp in north Lebanon. Now his brother Abdel Razzak el-Absi, a surgeon in Amman is asking the Jordanian authorities to allow the family to bury this martyr in Jordan.
Al-Absi family's request is unlikely to find a listeing ear in Amman especially as Al-Absi was high on Jordan's most-wanted terror list. A military court sentenced him to death in absentia in July 2004, along with al-Qaida in Iraq leader, Jordanian-born Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, for their roles in the 2002 slaying of a U.S. diplomat in Amman. Additionally, Al-Absi was also implicated in other planned terror plots in Jordan. Six months ago, Jordanian police engaged in a gun battle with two militants in the northern city of Irbid, killing one and arresting another. The arrested militant later confessed that al-Absi had sent the pair to carry out terror attacks in Jordan.
So why would Jordan want to allow Al-Absi's body to buried in Jordan? For humanitarian causes his brother thinks. “My brother has chosen the strict Islamic way because he was desperate and depressed", Abdel Razzak said. On the other hand, one might wonder whether Shaker Al-Absi was humanitarian enough when he and his group started the conflict with the Lebanese Army by attacking and slaughtering 27 soldiers during their sleep, or when his organization Fatah al-Islam bombed 2 buses and killed 3 innocent Christian Lebanese and wounded another 20 in the Ain Alaq town of the northern Metn province in Mount Lebanon, or when Fatah al-Islam robbed a Lebanese bank the night before the conflict started and stole $125,000. So who was Shaker Al-Absi? Was he "martyr" or a "murderer"? If he was a "martyr" as his family believes then there is no doubt that Jordan should let him be buried in its holy soil, however if he was a murderer then the last thing that we need is another fanatic misguided symbol for our youth to remember.

Look to twisted acts we reach to identifying who is martyr and who is criminal!!
If this criminal who fought against state and her military for no reasons just because he choose to do so and his family proud of his criminal acts and insist to say he is martyr just tell us how much rubbish Islam and our society had of this sort of culture that pricing the criminals.
This take me to stories happened in Iraq during old day and returned back during the sanction on Iraq some of those thieves who Barger homes and some how the owner kill them of fire on them and injured them found next day a the older criminal family or what they cal Sheikh come to home owner asking to withdraw his case in police and as for reparation because he injured of kill a man!!! Imagine the criminal asking for repressions what fake society and tribe structure who had.
These tribes or sheiks did they knew the limits of Islam? Did they believe in Allah? Did they read the Quran?

ماذا في التفاصيل؟
في الأيام والساعات الأخيرة، كانت قيادة الجيش اللبناني في جو أن تطوراً أمنياً أو عسكرياً سيحصل في «البارد» في الساعات المقبلة، وتزامنت عملية التبديل الواسعة في محيط المخيم، مع تشديد الإجراءات الأمنية عند المعابر الأساسية وبعض النقاط الحساسة، فيما كانت مديرية المخابرات في الجيش اللبناني تتابع ساعة بساعة وقائع العرض المفاجئ الذي وصلها عبر رابطة علماء فلسطين، حيث أبلغها أحد قادة «فتح الإسلام» أبو سليم طه استعداد الحركة للاستسلام مقاتلين وجرحى وقياديين، ولكن وفق سلة شروط مع طلب الحصول على ضمانات معينة من جهات خارجية.
وجاء عرض «فتح الإسلام» بعدما رفضت قيادة الجيش اللبناني عرض إخراج الجرحى وحدهم، وبرزت ريبة داخل القيادة العسكرية «من أن شاكر العبسي يخطط لعملية فرار في ضوء نجاح مبادرة إخراج العائلات (النساء والأطفال)، وهو يسعى للتحرر من الجرحى، وإلا لماذا الإصرار على خروجهم طالما أنه يبدي الاستعداد للاستسلام؟».
ولدى إلحاح ابو سليم طه على إيجاد حل عاجل لقضية العائلات، توجه عضو رابطة علماء فلسطين الشيخ محمد الحاج إلى دمشق وأنهى مسألة الأوراق الثبوتية، لا بل أكثر من ذلك، سهّلت قيادة الجيش عملية انتقال زوجة طه من صيدا إلى الشمال لمقابلة بعض أفراد عائلتها، كما سهلت أموراً مماثلة لبعض نساء المسلحين وأطفالهم من باب إبداء حسن النية و«اختبار» حقيقة نوايا قيادة «فتح الإسلام».
وفي الوقت نفسه، وبعد إلحاح من الجيش، سلم ابو سليم طه عرضاً لـ«الرابطة» يتضمن عدداً من العناصر، تبدأ بإقفال ملف انتقال عائلاتهم الى خارج لبنان، ومن ثم تتم عملية الاستسلام بعيداً عن الإعلام، على أن تتوفر ضمانات لاحقة تقضي بعدم إساءة المحققين أو أعضاء المحكمة لاحقاً، لهم ولمعتقداتهم الدينية، كما طلبوا ضمانات تتعلق بحدود العقوبات وهل يمكن أن تصل الى الإعدام؟، فضلاً عن طلب الحصول على ضمانة إحدى الدول العربية في بيروت.
وفيما كان العرض محور «مداولات إيجابية» بين عدد من القيادات السياسية والأمنية، كانت قيادة الجيش اللبناني تقيم المعلومات الاستخباراتية والميدانية، فضلاً عن الاستمرار برصد الاتصالات بين قياديي «فتح الإسلام» وعائلاتهم، ودائماً وفق فرضية مفادها أرجحية أن يكون القرار السياسي بالفرار قد اتخذ من لحظة إخراج العائلات، ولذلك طلب من وحدات الجيش أعلى درجات الجهوزية والحذر، «استعداداً لأمر ما»، وهو الأمر الذي أظهرته وقائع فجر الأحد في الثاني من أيلول.

I think that the guy is a surgeon but I had no idea where he got his MD.
Since he is a Jordanian citizen, then he has the right to be buried there.
Desspite what he did ,his family has the legal right to recive his body and bury him where they wish.
ذكر تلفزيون بي بي سي أن أتباع تنظيم القاعدة في الأردن يجندون أعدادا كبيرة من المحاربين الجدد الذين يعتبرون أنفسهم محاربين مقدسين ضد الغرب في العراق، وأضاف أن الحياة الموحشة والمقفرة في الأحياء المغمورة المحيطة بالعاصمة الأردنية عَمّان، حيث يشعر الناس بالملل والامتعاض والإحباط، تشكل بيئة خصبة لنشر التطرف، مشيراً إلى أن بعض أكبر الأسماء بتنظيم القاعدة ترعرعوا في هذه الأحياء
والتقى التلفزيون جهادياً سابقا يدعى أبوعبدالرحمن، قال إنه ذهب إلى العراق من الأردن 5 مرات، مضيفا "عندما أكون في العراق أشعر بالهدوء والسعادة والطمأنينة، هناك تراق الكثير من الدماء وتحدث مذابح كثيرة لكنني أعلم أنني أقاتل هناك باسم الله". موضحاً أن الجهاديين الأردنيين يلتقون فقط بعد غروب الشمس،
وأضاف أبوعبدالرحمن "أنتم الدول الكافرة أتيتم لتقاتلونا في أراضي المسلمين فماذا تتوقعون؟ أن نستقبلكم بالورود؟ المسلمون لا يقتلون من أجل القتل، أميركا وحلفاؤها حفروا قبورهم بأيديهم في العراق".
وذكر التقرير أن أبوعبدالرحمن الذي عاد إلى وطنه الأردن قادماً من العراق يقوم حالياً بتجنيد أردنيين آخرين للقتال، لافتاً إلى أنه يقول إنه ليس من الصعب إقناعهم للقيام بهذا الأمر.
وتابع التقرير بأن الناس في الأحياء الفقيرة في الأردن لا تملك الكثير من مباهج الحياة لكنهم يملكون تلفزيونات فضائية يشاهدون فيها صور دموية للعراق، معتبراً الغضب والرغبة التي تدفع شباب المسلمين للذهاب إلى العراق للقتال هناك تزداد في الأردن طوال الوقت
